Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

In other news, however, the Greek goddess shoot was cancelled last night, so no shoot today. Two of the five models for the original fairy shoot dropped out, and then another one dropped out yesterday. So we're saving everything for another time. I'm kind of disappointed, but I'll be hanging out with friends today. That definitely makes up for it.

Oh and X-Men First Class was pretty good! The only thing I really didn't like about it was Bug Girl. I think her nickname was Angel. She just got on my nerves. Kinda wish she died....

But yeah, I liked it.

It have happened to me before- doing group shoot is nearly not possible to organize... There's bound to be someone to drop out and the concept dies. Hope you're up for other shoot soon :)

Gotta watch First Class when I got time, have to wait till it comes out in open caption.

Sorry it was a bust :/ But hopefully it will be well with rescheduling...It's unfortunate how many models duck out, especially last minute for things. I wish it were something that happened less often. C'est la vie. You should try doing some fairy makeup or something sometime on your own, just to play with it :) Haha another movie? Wow. I may have to go see something this week. Between Pirates, Thor, and now X-men hah. I feel so out of the loop with movies these days. I don't know anything that's out or coming out. Well I hope you have fun with your friends, and I'm not surprised at all by 3000 views :) You have an awesome gallery, so it's no wonder people need to stop by ;)

There's a theatre near where I live that has $4 matinee shows, and since I'm out of school I have a little more time now to go see movies. I still haven't seen Thor yet. Will at some point though!

Sometimes shoots fall through, it's a major bummer. Come to think of it...I don't know if I've ever really organized shoots outside of shows...I sort of take advantage that people have devoted their time weeks at a time, but perhaps I'll take it upon myself to organize one of the many other photo shoots I want to do. I still need to see First Class, I've been hearing good things about it, same with Thor. I really need to get out and see a few more flicks in theaters.

Group shots are really fun, especially when the models are all familiar with one another. Good times!
My friends and I had a long conversation over X-Men First Class last night over dinner. Learned some interesting things. I still haven't seen Thor. I will at some point.

I'm not sure how to go about that either. I don't think it's something I NEED to have. I don't really like making people feel like I'm monitoring who they visit. That's just me though, lol.
