Despite having gone through the graduation ceremony from Shepherd University on May 14th I still haven't received my diploma in the mail. I paid $8 for it. I want it. I still find it pretty funny (stupid actually) that after all the money that was spent and time and effort that was put into getting through school they have a fee tacked on to your diploma. And then a week before graduation they sent me something in the mail asking for more money (ranging from a $500-$5,000 donation) for a program they want people to support. Needless to say that letter went into the garbage. I mean, really. Come on.
I am happy to be finished with formal education. Don't get me wrong. I had a few amazing professors at Shepherd (most of them left after I had them for one class, sadly), but I need to work now.
Other than all that I have a new-found obsession with kung fu movies and Bruce Lee in particular. I've always liked films with good fight scenes, but for some reason kung fu is just now hitting my interests. Enter the Dragon is one of my favourite movies now. I love it.
I'm also really missing my boyfriend. I haven't seen him since Spring Break in March. I know that's not a REALLY long time, but I don't get to see him often. Not sure when I'll be able to visit him again. I usually use my dad's car to drive up to his place (my car isn't good enough for long trips anymore), but now that I'm out of school that probably won't happen anymore.
I need a job darn it. I've applied at a good number of places, but I'm not having the best of luck.
Sunday I have another photoshoot to which to look forward. I'm going to be a water fairy. I'm excited to see how the makeup artist is going to do our makeup and hair. Should be fun!
Hope everyone else is doing well! What have you been up to?

Yeah...schools are insane like that. But at least you're done with it.
Best of luck on the job front. Seems so many need jobs these days.
Haha who doesn't love a good kung fu movie?? Especially with Bruce Lee, Teh Awesome.
Long time or short time, you haven't seen him often enough for your like so you're allowed to miss him. I'm sorry you don't get to see him that often, but kudos for making it work none the less.
Best of luck on your shoot this weekend! I cannot wait to see.
I hope you'll find a job soon then. Oh and I know how you feel with your boyfriend-thing. My girlfriend lived so far away that I could only visit her every second month for a week or so. I hope you get to see him soon. :/
I can't wait til I get a moment to look at your shots!!!!
I feel for you sis with the needing a job. I talked to my friend Adina today about it and I came up with this analogy..."
it's like you're in a boat floating in a river and you cast out a fishing line. Then another, then another...and pretty soon you're sitting in this boat with twenty or so fishing poles just protruding from your boat...and you just hope "come on...something's gotta bite!" then you end up looking at the ones that have been there for a while, "eh, guess this one's done for" before tossing it"
It's rough, believe me I know, but I'll pray that you find work soon, pray we both do actually (wouldn't it be cool if we were suddenly hired at the same time *le sigh* yeah...)
Haven't seen your boyfriend since March? *hugs* sorry little sister, I know it's rough. And don't tell yourself that you know it's not that long, my own girlfriend gets antsy when she doesn't see me in over a week. Granted she does live an hour away now (determined to move back with the whole family) but still, to each person it's awfully relative. I know I'm lucky for how much I get to see her, and if I hadn't seen her as long as you haven't seen your boyfriend I think I'd miss her just as you miss him. Take care
Hope you like the photos!
